About Us
Welcome to
Scullin Dental Laboratory
Scullin Dental Laboratory began as a partnership of two brothers, Joseph and Brendan Scullin, in 1936. It remains at the forefront of dentistry, helmed by Joe’s sons, Ken & Lee Scullin. It’s a timeline rich in tradition, from the early days of gold and acrylic to today’s sophisticated use of zirconia and refined dental ceramics.
Ken Scullin
Ken is our master ceramist. He has spent decades learning tooth form and ceramic technique from masters from Europe, Japan, and across the US. He has studied at the L. D. Pankey Institute and at Spear Education.
Ken and his wife Debbie have two grown children. Ken is a sports fan, an early-rising fitness enthusiast, and maintains the best lawn in the neighborhood.
Lee Scullin
In the mix of art and technology, Lee is the technologist. He handles the software and intricate machinery that make the modern dental laboratory hum. His prep work allows the ceramists to shine. Lee has studied at the L. D. Pankey Institute, the Dawson Academy, and Spear Education. He was certified by Northwest University in the restoration of Dental Implants and has presented programs at the Chicago Mid-Winter Meeting and at the Southwest Dental Conference in Dallas, Texas. He presents often at local study clubs and meetings.
Lee and his wife Mary Cay have two grown children. Lee is an avid reader, a film snob, a good cook, a horrible golfer and a shy musician.
